A toilet that runs all night. A bathroom faucet so slow it barely fills a glass. A kitchen sink faucet that has been under the cabinet twice and still drips. Fixture problems are the most common plumbing calls we get, and they are usually quicker to fix than homeowners expect. Biermann installs and replaces every type of plumbing fixture found in residential homes across Hampden, Hampshire, and Berkshire counties, including toilets, tub and shower valves, bathroom faucets and lavatories, kitchen faucets and sinks, garbage disposals, laundry hookups, and outdoor hose bibs.
On the commercial side, we build out restrooms from rough-in through final inspection: wall-hung and floor-mount toilets, urinals with flush valves, sensor faucets, ADA-compliant lavatories, mop sinks, floor drains, and janitor connections. Our spec-grade fixture partners include Watts, Zurn, Elkay, Josam, Wade, JR Smith, Prier, and Woodford. If your architect has a fixture schedule or you need us to spec the fixtures from scratch, we can do both.
All fixture work comes with a 1-year labor warranty. We pull permits when the scope requires it, schedule the inspection, and do not leave until everything passes.
We stock the shut-offs, supply lines, wax rings, and hardware for the most common residential fixture jobs so there is no waiting on parts.
Bathroom remodels live and die by the rough-in schedule. We rough in toilet flanges, shower valves, and lavatory supply and drain lines on your GC’s timeline, then return to connect finish fixtures once the tile and drywall are complete. Common finish work includes setting a new toilet, installing a vanity faucet and drain, connecting a shower valve trim kit, setting a freestanding tub, and running a new tub spout. We carry Watts and Prier shut-offs and supply lines so minor valve replacements do not delay the project.
We install and replace toilets in residential homes, apartments, and commercial restrooms. A standard swap on an existing flange takes under an hour. If the flange is cracked, the subfloor shows water damage, or the shut-off valve is original and corroded, we address those at the same time. For homeowners upgrading to a comfort-height or low-flow toilet, we handle the full swap including the wax ring and supply line. For apartment buildings replacing multiple units, we schedule efficiently to minimize tenant disruption.
Bathroom faucets, kitchen faucets, utility sink faucets, pot-filler faucets, and outdoor hose bibs. Bring your own fixture or let us source one. When we replace a kitchen faucet we check the shut-off valves under the sink, since corroded gate valves are the most common source of a post-install drip. We replace them with Watts or Prier ball valves when needed. For outdoor spigots we stock Woodford frost-free hose bibs so the job is done in one visit.
Kitchen sink installation and replacement, garbage disposal install and hookup, instant hot dispensers, and ice maker supply lines. When we set a new kitchen sink we verify the drain slope, trap arm, and P-trap configuration so the new garbage disposal drains cleanly without backing up. For kitchens with a dishwasher we make sure the high-loop or air gap is correct. If the new sink has a different cutout or mounting style than the old one, we handle the countertop coordination before the install.
Shower valve replacement, tub spout replacement, showerhead replacement, and pressure-balancing valve installs. If a shower runs either scalding or cold when someone flushes a toilet, the pressure-balancing cartridge in the valve is usually worn out. We replace cartridges in most major valve brands and swap the whole valve when the body itself is failing. For shower remodels we rough in the new valve location and return for the trim after tile is complete.
Washing machine supply and drain hookup, utility sink installation, laundry room plumbing for new construction, and hose bib additions. When we install a laundry hookup we set recessed washing machine valves in the wall for a clean, code-compliant installation. For laundry rooms moving to a new location in a renovation, we run the supply and drain lines from the existing stack or branch and cap the old connections properly.
From a single restroom renovation to a multi-floor tenant improvement, we carry the spec-grade brands your project requires and handle permits, submittals, and inspections.
Watts, Zurn, Elkay, Josam, Wade, JR Smith, Prier, and Woodford on the truck. Permits pulled, inspections passed.
Full restroom rough-in and finish for tenant improvements, office renovations, and new commercial construction. We work from architect drawings or spec fixtures ourselves, pull the permit, and handle the final inspection.
Urinal installation and replacement, flush valve repair and replacement, and sensor flush valve upgrades. Zurn and Watts flush valves on the truck for most standard applications. Waterless urinal retrofit also available
Mop sink installation for janitorial closets, floor drain installation and replacement from Josam, JR Smith, and Wade. Floor drain trap primers for drains that dry out in low-traffic areas, which is the most common source of sewer odor in commercial buildings.
ADA-height toilets, grab-bar rough-in blocking, ADA lavatory setouts, lever-handle or sensor faucets, and accessible shower stalls with barrier-free drains. We meet Massachusetts AAB requirements and commercial ADA Standards for restroom accessibility.
Three-compartment sinks from Elkay, hand sinks for health code compliance, pre-rinse spray valves, grease interceptor connections, and ice machine supply lines. We make sure every fixture connection meets local health department requirements before final inspection.
On project work we handle fixture submittals, fixture schedules, and coordination with the engineer of record when substitutions are required. We pull our own permits, schedule inspections, and provide close-out documentation including warranty letters and as-built notes.
Yes. When a bathroom remodel calls for moving or adding plumbing rough-in, we handle it. That covers repositioning the toilet flange, roughing in a new shower valve, adding a double-sink vanity supply and drain, tiling a shower pan with a linear drain, and connecting all the finish fixtures once the tile work and drywall are done. We coordinate with your GC or tile contractor and schedule our work around theirs so the project stays on track.
A straightforward toilet swap on an existing flange takes about 45 minutes to an hour. If the wax seal needs replacing, the flange is damaged, or the water supply valve is corroded and needs replacement at the same time, add another 30 to 60 minutes. We bring the toilet, wax ring, hardware, and supply line so you do not need to supply anything.
Yes. Supply the fixture and we will do the installation. For kitchen faucets we also check the shut-off valves under the sink and replace them if they are original brass gate valves or showing corrosion, since those are the most common source of the drip after a new faucet is in. We carry Watts and Prier shut-offs on the truck for that reason.
Kitchen sink faucets, single and double-basin sinks, garbage disposals, instant hot water dispensers, pot-filler faucets, and ice maker supply lines. On the commercial side we install commercial kitchen sinks from Elkay, grease interceptors, pre-rinse spray valves, and hand sinks required by health codes. We make sure everything meets local code before we leave.
Yes. Plumbing and HVAC under one crew is one of the main reasons facility managers work with us. One invoice, one point of contact, and systemYes. We install and replace garbage disposals in residential kitchens. If the existing drain line slope is marginal or the P-trap configuration is wrong, we correct it at the same time so the new disposal drains properly. Hardwired disposal connections go through an electrician if needed; otherwise we handle the plumbing and mount.s that are installed and serviced by people who understand how they interact. No coordinating between separate contractors.
A typical commercial restroom build-out starts with roughing in the water supply and drain lines to code locations, then setting floor-mount or wall-hung toilets (Zurn or similar), urinals with flush valves, lavatory sinks with sensor or push-button faucets from Watts or Elkay, mop sinks, floor drains from Josam or JR Smith, and janitor service connections. We spec and install ADA-compliant fixtures and handle the inspection punch-list. On tenant improvements we work off the architect drawings and coordinate with the GC on sequencing.
Yes. We spec and install ADA-compliant toilets, lavatories, faucet controls, and shower valves for both residential accessibility upgrades and commercial restrooms that must meet ADA and Massachusetts Architectural Access Board (AAB) requirements. For commercial projects we pull the permit, submit the fixture schedule, and coordinate the inspection.
